Mont Carver (1994, Ciudad de México, México) es fotógrafa, cineasta y escritora. Licenciada en Cine Digital y Post-Producción en SAE Institute México, estudió un Máster en Fotografía de Moda en TAI ARTS y un Curso de Artes Fundamentales y Profesiones Artísticas en CBA Escuela Sur, ambos en Madrid. Ganó una beca para estudiar un Máster en Fotografía Profesional en IED Madrid, donde exploró procesos alternativos, tanto analógicos como digitales. Su enfoque en el cine experimental la llevó al videoarte, con proyectos exhibidos en festivales como En Las Olas (2016), Hastío (2019), La Resaca del Amor (2022) y Mutaciones (2024). Ha participado en exposiciones colectivas, como en el Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid con Excavaciones: Rastro, Huella, Resto, Mancha. Influenciada por la cultura pop y la llegada del internet en su temprana edad, su obra se centra en la manipulación de imágenes y temas como el género y el amor, abordando las limitaciones de la inteligencia artificial en la representación queer. Su último proyecto, Crying Queens (2023), fue exhibido en Matadero, Madrid, y en FotoComBA, Buenos Aires, y en el Experimental Photo Festival de Barcelona 2024, dentro de la exposición colectiva Blooming Voices. Recientemente trabaja en proyectos de cine ensayo como Su obra es una constante búsqueda por documentar lo íntimo y lo oculto. Vive en Madrid, España.

Mont Carver (1994, Mexico City, Mexico) is a photographer, filmmaker, and writer. Graduated in Digital Film and Post-Production from SAE Institute Mexico, she pursued a Master’s in Fashion Photography at TAI ARTS and a course in Fundamental Arts and Artistic Professions at CBA Escuela Sur, both in Madrid. She earned a scholarship to study a Master’s in Professional Photography at IED Madrid, where she explored alternative processes, both analog and digital. Her focus on experimental cinema led her to video art, with projects exhibited at festivals, including In the Waves (2016), Fatigue (2019), The Hangover of Love (2022), and Mutations (2024). She has participated in collective exhibitions, such as at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid with Excavations: Trace, Mark, Remnant, Stain. Influenced by pop culture and the internet from an early age, her work centers on image manipulation and themes like gender and love, addressing AI's limitations in queer representation. Her latest project, Crying Queens (2023), was exhibited at Matadero, Madrid, FotoComBA, Buenos Aires, and at the Experimental Photo Festival in Barcelona in 2024 within the collective exhibition Blooming Voices. Recently, she has been working on essay films like I Dreamed of Having Your Child and You-River, I-Mountain. A member of the Creadores de Imágenes Madrid collective, her work is a constant pursuit of documenting the intimate and the hidden. She resides in Madrid, Spain.
